California, landscape architects are licensed to design landscape projects and develop instruments for their completion. A landscape architect’s license does not authorize the license holder to contract with clients for the construction and installation of their projects. (LALAB) is the state agency responsible for issuing and renewing landscape architecture licenses in California.
Board is composed of five members appointed by the Governor, who appoints the members of the Board. Each member is appointed for a term of four years, and may be reappointed for another four-year term. Members serve without compensation, but are reimbursed for travel and other expenses incurred in their official duties.
