Can you burn Scentsy wax?
Scentsy wax begins to melt at around 32 degrees Celcius and considering a candle flame can have temperatures upwards of 230 degrees, it makes sense as to why our wax does not perform optimally (if at all) in an oil burner. The reason for this is due to the fact that wax melts at a lower temperature than oil.
This means that the wax will not be able to absorb as much heat as it would if it were heated to a higher temperature. In other words, if you were to heat your wax to 100 degrees celcius, you would not get the same amount of heat out of it as you do when you heat it to 80 degrees.
The reason why this happens is because wax is made up of a mixture of wax and oil, which is why it is not as efficient at absorbing heat from the flame as oil is. It is also important to note that oil burns hotter than wax, meaning that it will take longer for your candle to reach its full potential.
