Give your ants a few drops of water every day. Don’t make their sand so wet that water pools up on top and they drown in it, but give them 2 or 3 drops a day to keep them hydrated.
If you have a lot of ants in your house, you may want to use a spray bottle to spray the ants with water. This will help them get rid of the water and keep the sand from getting into their eyes and mouths.

Can ants live without water?

After the 10-minute exposure period, all of the flies were placed back into their normal environment.
Do ants pee?
