Does a gun case have to be TSA approved?
Any gun case that will be used for air travel must comply with a number of TSA specifications. If you don’t have the key to the gun case, the firearm will not be allowed to be carried on a plane.
What happens if TSA finds a gun?
A loaded firearm is treated the same as a loaded firearm with accessible ammunition. You will also be required to undergo a criminal background check. If you are convicted of a felony, you will be subject to a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. You will not be eligible for parole until you have served your sentence.
Can I fly with my Glock case?

We do allow the carrying of concealed weapons in checked baggage only if the weapon is carried in a securely closed container, such as a hard-sided carry-on or checked bag, and is not visible from the outside of the baggage claim area. If you are traveling with a concealed weapon, you must declare it to the check-in agent at the time you board the aircraft.
You must also declare any ammunition that you may have in your possession on the flight.
