It’s not mandatory to have a program. They’re good places to list who’s in your wedding party, thank parents and other important people, and explain any ceremony traditions that guests may not be familiar with.

Do people still use programs at weddings?
A ceremony program is similar to a wedding invitation in that it contains information that benefits the wedding’s guests.
“It’s not just about the ceremony, it’s also about what happens after the wedding, and that’s what we’re trying to do,” said Jennifer Koehler, director of communications for the National Center for Lesbian Rights.
Do most people have wedding programs?
The short answer is no! Wedding programs are absolutely not necessary pieces of wedding stationary. They are a great place to communicate important information and guide guests through the process of planning a wedding. Wedding programs can also be used as a way to introduce guests to the bride and groom before the ceremony.
This can be done in a variety of ways, but the most common way is to have the wedding program included as part of the guest list at the reception. Guests will be able to ask questions about the program and get a sense of who the couple is and what they hope to accomplish.
They will also have a chance to get to know the bridesmaids and groomsmen, as well as the officiant and other wedding staff members. The program can even serve as an introduction for guests who may not be familiar with the groom’s or bride’s family. In this way, guests can get an idea of what to expect and how to prepare for the big day.
When should you order wedding programs?
If your guest count hasn’t been finalized, we recommend ordering programs at least a month in advance. It’s better to order too many than not at all, with so many details to button down before the big day.
How do you list parents on wedding program?
We want to thank our parents, grandparents, and families for being with us on this special day. We would like to thank our families who traveled to be with us on our wedding day and all of our friends and family who made this day special for us. We are so grateful for all the love and support we have received from all over the world.
It has been an honor to share our story with you and we hope that you will continue to support us and our family through this difficult time in our lives. The ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah. Please note that the reception will take place on Sunday, July 1st.
Who normally does readings at a wedding?
Your best man and maid of honor are likely to give speeches at the reception, so honor other friends by asking them to read. If you don’t have a reception to go to, you can always invite your friends and family over for dinner or a movie.
You can also invite a few of your closest friends over to your home for a drink or dinner. This is a great way to get to know your guests a little better, and it’s also a good way for you to make sure that everyone is having a wonderful time.
