How Do You Fix A Trampoline Mat? (Explanation Inside!)

how do you fix a trampoline mat

The flex-Tape Repair Method is another effective and adventurous method to patch a trampoline hole. It’s waterproof and can be found all over the place. The tape is 5′ long and 4′ wide. The color of the tape is black, which is the same color as most trampolines. Cut the tape to the size you need. I cut mine to a size that would fit the hole I was trying to repair.

If you have a larger hole, you may need to cut a smaller piece of tape. You can also use a ruler to measure the circumference of your hole and cut the appropriate amount of rubber tape for that size. For example, if you are repairing a hole that is about 1/2″ in diameter, then you would need a 1.5″ x 2.25″ piece.

This is a good size to start with, but you can always add more tape if needed. Once you’ve cut your tape, it’s time to put it in place. To do this, I used a pair of needle nose pliers to push it into place and then used my fingers to pull it out.

Why is my brand new trampoline mat loose?

Your trampoline’s mat can be loose for a few reasons, from overstretched springs to standard bounce cords. If your trampoline is brand-new, you’ll want to modify your bounce cords, but if it’s no longer a spring chicken, you’ll want a new bounce cord.

If you’re using a bounce-cord, make sure the cord is long enough to support the weight of your body, and that it doesn’t stretch too much when you jump. You can also check to see if you have any knots in your cord, which can make it more difficult to swing your leg back and forth.

When should I replace my trampoline mat?

We recommend you replace your trampoline mat every couple of years. The bounce and safety will be ensured by this. If your mat has a puncture, tear or loose thread, you should replace it as soon as possible.
