How much wax is needed for an 8 oz candle?
If they use an 8-ounce container they’ll need 8 ounces of wax. They assume that if a container holds 8 ounces of water then it must also hold 8 ounces of wax. That could only be true if candle wax had the same density as water. Water has a density of 1.5 grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm3).
If you were to take a piece of paper and cut it in half, you would find that the paper is only 1/8th of an inch thick. The same is true of a candle.
A candle is made up of two parts water and one part wax, so if you take the water out of the candle and put it into a glass jar, it will still only be half as thick as it would be if it were made of pure water. This is because the wax is still in contact with the liquid inside the jar.
In other words, when you put water in a jar it still has to be heated to a certain temperature in order for it to melt and become liquid.
How many candles will 1kg wax make?

How many drops of oil do you put in a candle?
We recommend using 30 to 40 drops of essential oils for a candle. The ability to throw scent is not known for soy and beeswax. If you’re worried that your candle will be too strong, start with a small amount and work your way up to a larger amount.
