What is an attrition clause?
The attrition clause is the percentage of your room block that you have to fill by the cutoff date. After the cutoff date unsold rooms will be charged the same as the rate times number of nights in the room.
For example, if you have a room with a 3-night minimum, you will be charged $100 per night for the first 3 nights, and then $150 for each additional night. If you want to stay in that room for a total of 6 nights (3 nights + 1 night = 6), you would pay $1,500 for that 3 night minimum.
You would also be responsible for paying the remaining $300 for any additional nights you wish to book.
When should we send out save the dates?
Save the dates should be sent 8 to 12 months prior to your wedding. You might be surprised by the distance that family and friends will travel to see you get married.
