Bells are supposed to hit the ground, but with this comes some natural distress. This means the cutting is fine. Many of our bell bottoms are made with a 34″ inseam to make it easy on and off.

How do you shorten flared jeans without sewing or cutting?

You can use hemming tape to shorten your jeans if you don’t have a sewing machine. If you want to cut the excess from the bottom of your pant leg, use method #2. Cut the pant legs to the length you want. I cut mine to about 1.5 inches longer than I wanted them to be so that I could wear them with a pair of jeans that were a little too long for me.

You can also cut them shorter if you’d like, but I didn’t want to have to hem them every time I wore them, so I just kept them as long as I felt like it. If you’re not sure how long your pants will be, just measure your waist and make sure it’s the same length as the pants you plan to wear with them.

Can you hem flare pants?

When you are small, re-hemming flare jeans can mess with the overall shape and look because you cut some of the flare off. If you can’t avoid the re-hemming process, first try the jeans on with your go-to shoes and fold a fake hem to make sure they will look flattering on your body.

Can you just cut jeans to make them shorter?

If you prefer the raw hem look, you can easily cut off your jeans at home. A pair of scissors and a sharp knife is all you need. Cut off the bottom hem of the jeans. You can do this by hand, but it’s much easier to do it with scissors.

If you don’t have scissors, just use a knife to cut the hem in half lengthwise. This will leave you with two pieces of fabric that are about the same length, which is what you’ll want to use for your hem. Using the scissors you just made, cut a small slit in the top of each piece of denim.

The slit should be about 1/2 inch wide. Make sure that the slit is as small as possible so that it doesn’t cut into the fabric. Once you’ve cut your slit, it should look something like this: Step 3: Now you’re ready to sew the two halves together.

To mark the length you want, cut a slit or hole at the bottom of the folded part. This is repeated on the other leg. If you want to cut the jeans straight across, take the jeans off and lay them on a flat surface. Check to see if the jeans fit when you put them back on. If they do, you’re done!

If they don’t fit, make a few more cuts and try again. You may have to do this a couple of times before you get it right. Once you’ve got it just right, it’s time to sew the leg together. I like to use a 1/4″ seam allowance, but you can use whatever size you like. Sew the legs together using a zig zag stitch.

The seam should be about 1″ from the edge of each leg, so that you have a nice clean edge to work with when you sew. When you are happy with the seam, turn your jeans inside out and iron them flat. This will help them to stay in place while they are being sewn.

Are flare jeans supposed to touch the ground?

Getting the length right is the key to wearing flare jeans. The general consensus is that the hem should not be more than one foot off the ground. I personally prefer even less, like half an inch off the ground, just grazing the top of the leg.

The best way to do this is with a pair of jeans that are a little longer than you would normally wear, but not so long that you can’t wear them over a t-shirt. If you have a long torso and a short torso, then you might want a 13 or 14 in the same jeans, or maybe even a 15 or 16 in them, depending on your body type.

The point is, it’s up to you to figure out what works best for you.

How do you hem flare yoga pants?

Because yoga pants are made of a stretch knit fabric, they should be hemmed using a stretch machine stitch, as a straight or hand sewn stitch may break when the fabric stretches. Use a machine with a built-in stretch stitch or a narrow stitch to hem the pants.
