Simply slide the bead on like a ring to apply it to the dreadlock. It will not slide off if the bead is fitted tightly enough. The dreadlock has a rough texture that will keep the bead from sliding off easily. Beads can also be used to secure the ends of your dreadlocks. To do this, you will need to make a small hole in the end of each dread.
This hole should be about 1/2 inch in diameter. Then, using a pair of needle nose pliers, insert the needle into the hole and pull it out. Repeat this process for the other end. Be careful not to pull too hard, as this will cause the beads to break. Once the holes are in place, secure them using the same method as described above.

Do beads help dreads?
