How To Read Foundation Series? (Explained for Beginners)

how to read foundation series

Foundation series is certainly a must-read for sci-fi fans, but it isn’t necessarily going to be life-changing today the way it was for me in the 70s and was when I first read it.

But it’s still a great read for anyone who wants to learn more about the history of science fiction.

Should I read the robot series before Foundation?

If you really want to immersh yourself into Asimov’s universe I would recommend reading all the stories related to Foundation in published order. Foundation series, the Robot series and the Galactic Empire series would be included. Asimov also wrote a number of short stories, some of which have been collected in The Foundation Trilogy, which is a collection of all of his Foundation stories in one volume.

Where should I start reading Asimov?

The caves of steel is one of his more famous books. Robot is a collection of stories that might make it hard for a reader to follow a unified narrative of Foundation. It’s not a bad book by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s also not the kind of book that I would recommend to someone who is just starting out in the world of science fiction or fantasy.

This is the first book in a trilogy, and the second book will be out next year. The third book is called The Last Days of Man, which is also the title of a short story by Robert A. Heinlein that was published in Astounding Science-Fiction magazine in 1958.

Foundation tells the story of hari seldon and his followers, who use the futuristic science of psychohistory to plot their course through a galactic dark age and preserve scientific knowledge.

Kirtley, host of Geek’s Guide to the GALAXY, has always been a big fan of the series, so when he got the chance to sit down with the author to talk about his new book, he knew he had to read it. I’ve always loved science fiction.

I grew up in the ’60s and ’70s, and I read a lot of sci-fi in those years. I was a kid, I wanted to be an astronaut, but I didn’t have the money to go to space school. I went to college and got a degree in physics.

I got interested in psychology, because I thought it would be interesting to see how the human mind works.
