Clear acrylic spray – this is a great hardware store find, I like Krylon brand, if you coat your piece about 8″ away 3 times (waiting 5 minutes in between coatings), and you let your piece sit a full 24 hours before wearing, you should be good to go. – This is the best way to keep your paint from drying out.
If you don’t do this, the paint will dry out too fast, and it won’t look as good as you want it to. You can also use a spray bottle to spray paint, but I find that it’s easier to use an airbrush to paint. Paint the piece. This step is very important, as it will give you the most control over the look of your work.
The first thing you’re going to want to do is apply a thin coat of paint to the surface of the workpiece.
