The more current it is, the more resistance there is and the less power you will be able to draw from the battery.
If you are going to use a battery that has a high current draw, then you need to make sure that it is rated for the load that you want to put on it. If you don’t know how much current your battery can handle, or what the maximum current rating is for a particular battery type, ask the manufacturer for that information.

Can you hook a winch directly to a battery?
The main posts on your battery should be connected to the electrical cables. If the battery terminal bolts are long enough, it’s possible to attach the winch electrical connections directly to them.
If you want to use a different type of battery, you’ll need to make sure that it has the same voltage rating as the one you’re using.
For example, if you are using a NiMH battery and you have a 12V battery that is rated at 12.5V, then you will need a 14.4V or 15.2V type battery to power it.
Does my winch need a circuit breaker?
You don’t need a switch or a circuit breaker. Warn would include them on their winches if necessary. You don’t hear or feel them when they’re on, because they draw too much current. If you’re going to use a winch, make sure it’s rated for the load you’ll be using it for.

If you are using a cable with a ¾” ground, you will need to make sure it is attached to ground at the same level as the other cable. Step 3 – Place the end of the second cable into the hole in step 1. The cable should be about ½” to 1″ in length, depending on how long you want your ground cable to be. This will allow you to connect the two cables together and secure them in place.
It is also a good idea to secure the ends of both cables with some sort of cable tie to prevent them from moving around during the installation process. Once you have connected the cables, the next step is to attach them to each other. To do this, place one cable on top of another, and then place the top cable over the bottom cable, securing them with cable ties.
What wires go to the starter solenoid?
